Risk Warning
Last updated 21 July 2026
Buying, holding, and using cryptocurrency involves significant risk, including the risk of losing all the money you spend. Please read this warning carefully and only proceed if you understand and accept these risks.
Prices are highly volatile
The value of digital assets can rise or fall sharply, and quickly, for reasons that are often unpredictable. The value of what you buy today could be substantially lower — or worth nothing — tomorrow. Never buy with money you cannot afford to lose, and never borrow to buy crypto.
Transactions are irreversible
Crypto sent to a wallet address cannot be recalled, cancelled, or charged back. If you enter an address you do not control, an address on the wrong network, or an address with a typo, the funds are typically lost permanently with no way to recover them. Onexa validates the format of the address for the network you choose, but it cannot verify that the address belongs to you. Always double-check the address and the network before you confirm.
Wrong-network and compatibility risk
The same type of coin can exist on several different networks. Sending an asset to an address on a network your wallet or exchange does not support for that asset can make it inaccessible. Make sure your receiving wallet supports the specific asset on the specific network you select.
Liquidity risk
Some assets are thinly traded. In stressed conditions you may be unable to sell an asset quickly, or at all, without accepting a significantly lower price.
Technology and network risk
Blockchain networks can experience congestion, high fees, delays, forks, outages, or bugs. Smart contracts and tokens may contain vulnerabilities. These events are outside our control and can affect the delivery, value, or usability of an asset.
Security risk
You are responsible for the security of your own wallet, keys, and recovery phrases. Anyone who obtains your private keys or recovery phrase can take your assets, and lost keys usually mean lost funds. Never share your recovery phrase with anyone — including anyone claiming to be from Onexa. We will never ask for it.
Fraud and scams
Crypto attracts scams: fake support agents, "investment" and giveaway schemes, phishing sites, and people pressuring you to send funds. Be sceptical of anyone who contacts you unexpectedly, promises guaranteed returns, or rushes you. Only ever use official Onexa channels, and never send crypto to someone you do not know and trust.
Not insured or protected
Digital assets are generally not covered by deposit-protection or investor-compensation schemes. Unlike money held in a regulated bank, if a loss occurs there may be no scheme to reimburse you and no way to recover the funds.
Regulatory and legal risk
The regulatory treatment of crypto varies by country and is still developing. New laws, restrictions, or enforcement actions can affect the value, transferability, or legality of holding certain assets. You are responsible for understanding and following the rules that apply where you live.
Tax
Buying, selling, holding, or using crypto may have tax consequences depending on where you live. You are responsible for determining and meeting your tax obligations. Consider seeking advice from a qualified professional.
Third-party risk
The service relies on third parties, including a payment provider, market data feeds, and blockchain networks. Their failure, downtime, or error can affect a transaction. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.
No financial advice
Onexa does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Do your own research, consider your personal circumstances, and seek independent advice if you are unsure.
Suitability
Crypto is not suitable for everyone. Only you can decide whether it fits your financial situation, goals, and tolerance for risk. If you do not fully understand the risks described here, please do not proceed.
Acknowledgement
By using Onexa to purchase digital assets, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Risk Warning, that you accept the risks described here, and that you are solely responsible for your decisions. This warning forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
